Poster designs for theatre

It started mostly out of necessity.  A show needs an advertising poster… there’s no budget to hire someone to do it.  I’m the director and, as it turns out, not wholly unfamiliar with the ways o’ the Photoshop… Over time, though, I’ve come to not only enjoy creating posters for productions, but to see it as an integral part of the directing process for me.  The poster becomes (to greater or lesser degrees) a visual representation of my directorial concept.  Below are the poster designs for plays I have directed at Drake University (2000-present):
